SH503ZD-AP smart module

Overview

The SH503ZD-AP is one of Quectel’s new generation of smart modules. It integrates the Rockchip IoT chip RK3572, featuring a high-performance CPU configuration consisting of a dual-core ARM Cortex-A73 and a hexa-core ARM Cortex-A53, an ARM Mali G310 V2 MC1 GPU, a 12M ISP HDR, and a 4 TOPS NPU. The module supports external Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, delivering powerful performance to meet customer requirements for automation in industrial applications, as well as high computing power and multimedia capabilities in consumer applications.

The SH503ZD-AP module integrates a rich set of peripheral interfaces, including: 1 × HDMI/eDP, 1 × MIPI DSI, 2 × MIPI CSI, dual gigabit ethernet ports, multiple industrial serial ports, 2 × USB, 2 × PCIe/SATA, and 4 × CAN. The module supports 8K @ 30fps video decoding (H.265/VP9/AV1, etc.) and 4K @ 40fps video encoding (H.264/H.265), and supports dual-screen display with independent content. Combined with the 4T NPU and comprehensive deep learning algorithms, it meets the application requirements of localized edge devices in the AI industrial control field. Additionally, the module comes preloaded with Linux*/Android*/Debian* operating systems and supports external Quectel Cat 4/1, 4G, voice, Wi-Fi 6, and GNSS modules.
