Safehub sensors rely on Quectel BG95-M3 to keep earthquake-prone buildings safe
Safehub, which operates more than 1,300 live earthquake monitoring sensors worldwide to support clients in advancing their earthquake risk management strategies, has selected the Quectel BG95-M3 LTE module for its flagship Yure LTE sensor. The company also relies on Quectel for both product testing and certification services.
Safehub’s sensors stand out as the only low-cost, easy-to-install earthquake monitoring solution, paired with an intuitive dashboard interface. This combination makes them highly affordable and scalable, enabling clients to enhance their earthquake resilience and emergency response capabilities. Through its partnership with Liberty Mutual Reinsurance, Safehub also powers the world’s only sensor-triggered parametric earthquake insurance solution, delivering unparalleled innovation and protection in seismic risk management.

Through the partnership with Liberty Mutual Reinsurance, Safehub recently collaborated with a leading Californian university to deploy 180 sensors across its campuses. This initiative supports the university’s adoption of sensor-triggered parametric earthquake coverage, establishing the world’s largest policy of its kind and setting a new standard in seismic resilience.
By capturing critical data on ground shaking and potential damage, Safehub helps organizations make informed decisions about safety, emergency response and recovery. The easy-to-install sensors integrate seamlessly with parametric insurance programs, delivering building-specific damage insights and enabling faster payouts and risk mitigation.

“We are using the Quectel BG95-M3,” says Scott Fritzinger, the Director of Engineering at Safehub. “Safehub deploys its sensors around the world across six continents and 28 countries, the BG95-M3 was chosen due to its wide global compatibility. It has connectivity options for just about any locale.”
“Safehub’s customers require us to be ready to both certify and deploy sensors wherever our customers’ building assets may be,” he adds. “This includes countries which have well-developed mobile network infrastructure, but also locations that may present challenges to consistent connectivity. The BG95-M3 has allowed us to deploy sensors without concern about network compatibility and has made the certification and testing process easier.”
