Senquip, which manufactures user programmable rugged telemetry devices that connect industrial sensors and systems to the Senquip Portal or a server of the customer’s choice, has selected Quectel modules, antennas and certification services to support its devices.

Focused on enabling control and monitoring of remote assets, Senquip’s portfolio includes the Senquip ORB, which is designed for extreme environments where IP ratings are essential and external antennas are likely to be damaged. Senquip ORBs are typically mounted up poles, on walls and externally on machines. The Senquip QUAD is also designed for harsh environments where there may not be a clear view of the sky and where external antennas are a benefit. Senquip QUADs are typically found in electrical enclosures, in operator cabs and mounted externally on machines.

For our next generation of telemetry products, we will be upgrading to the EG912U and BG95 to offer true global operation and satellite options.”

The Quectel BG96 is an LTE Cat M1, Cat NB1 and EGPRS module that offers 375Kbps downlink and uplink. With a cost-effective SMT form factor of 26.5mm x 22.5 x 2.3mm, the module is compatible with Quectel’s EG91 and EG95 LTE modules. The module offers an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, with standard operating temperature range of -35°C to +75°C.

The Quectel EG91 is an LTE Cat 1 module optimized for IoT. It delivers maximum data rates of 10Mbps downlink and 5Mbps uplink with dimensions of 29.0mm x 25.0mm x 2.45mm, the EG91 offers the same operating temperature performance as the BG96.

Supplying global markets, Senquip devices connect to all brands and makes of engines and engine controllers, including Cummins, Volvo, CAT, John Deere and others, and supports engine controllers from Enovation, Deep Sea, ComAp, Kensho, SmartGen and others. All Senquip devices have FD CAN, RS232, RS485, Modbus and other interfaces to ensure compatibility with the customer’s machine.
