5G & C-V2X/DSDS AG59xE Automotive Module series

AG59xE is a family of automotive-grade 5G NR Sub-6 GHz modules developed by Quectel, supporting both 5G NR NSA and SA modes. With 3GPP Rel-16 technology, the module supports maximum 2.5 Gbps downlink and 630 Mbps uplink data rates in 5G NSA mode, and maximum 1.6 Gbps downlink and 200 Mbps uplink data rates at LTE-A. Optional PC5-based C-V2X direct communication makes AG59xE family a great solution for automotive applications as it makes traffic smoother and more efficient and paves the way for fully connected and automated traffic. It supports DSDS (optional) and abundant interfaces for customers to develop applications. Its excellent performance in ESD and EMI protection ensures great robustness in harsh environments.

AG59xE family comprises AG590E series (5G + C-V2X) and AG591E series (5G + DSDS), each of which includes multiple modules (AG59xE-CN, AG59xE-EU, AG59xE-EUL, AG59xE-NA and AG59xE-ROW) to meet varied market demands. It is backward compatible with existing GSM, UMTS and LTE networks, enabling it to be connected in areas without 5G NR deployment and even in remote areas devoid of 3G or 4G coverage.

AG59xE family supports multiple input multiple output (MIMO) technology. Using multiple antennas at the transmitting and receiving ends at the same time and on the same frequency band greatly reduces errors and optimizes data speed. While supporting multi-constellation GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo and QZSS) based on Qualcomm® IZat™ location technology Gen9VT Lite, the module additionally supports dual-band GNSS (L1 + L5/L2, L2 as optional), PPE (RTK) and QDR 3.0 integrated navigation solutions. This greatly simplifies product design and provides quicker, more accurate and more dependable positioning capability.
