Job Summary
The Regional Sales Representative, Los Angeles, US will help Quectel Wireless Solutions
USA Inc. increase revenue and address customer needs within their assigned region. S/he
will be responsible for the promotion, development, and representation of the business and
the sale of Quectel’s products throughout the region and shall take full responsibility for the
sales performance.
The Regional Sales Representative, Los Angeles, US should meet sales goals and specified
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which include Meetings; Technical Evaluations;
Technical Evaluations to Competitor Accounts; Quotes; Design Wins. These KPIs are tracked
and reported weekly, quarterly, and annually. Ultimately, he will help us grow our customer
base and establish Quectel’s reputation in their assigned region.
The Regional Sales Representative, Los Angeles, US will spend more than half their working
in the field and away from their primary geographic place of business. Every Monday will be
spent in the home office with the focus on hunting and following up on the previous weeks’
meeting action items. The first full week of every month will be spent in the home office
focusing on administrative/organizational tasks such as forecasting, funnel review, including
reach outs to every account in the funnel, and future travel planning. The next three weeks
will be spent traveling to visit customers onsite with 3+ meetings per day, Tuesday through
Friday (or however many days that 3+ meetings are scheduled).
Responsibilities
- Establish a thorough and complete understanding of Quectel’s business and products and employ this knowledge to sell Quectel’s products to both current and prospective customers.
- Conduct new customer outreach and hunt for prospective customers to actively grow sales funnel, both independently and with the support of the Outbound Sales and Marketing teams.
- Maintain a funnel of customers and prospective customers and ensure they move through the sales process.
- Prepare Meeting Presentations with the support of the Inside Sales and Commercial teams and follow up each meeting by sending a Meeting Summary to the customer.
- Prepare quotes and organize development kits and samples for customers.
- Develop strong relationships with prospective customers through consistent and regular communication.
- Work closely with dedicated Technical Sales Managers for the region, Field Application Engineers and Product Managers to ensure that customers’ technical questions are answered and help to escalate any technical issues that may arise.
- Work with customer and internal teams to complete signing of SoW, MSA and NDA documents.
- Cooperate with colleagues globally to ensure that the customer and their manufacturing/development partners are supported in all global locations.
- Work closely with dedicated Commercial Specialist team to manage forecast and backlog.
- Other duties as the business requires.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any field will be accepted.
- Minimum of 2 years of industry experience.
- Prior sales experience is not required. Candidates from backgrounds such and engineering, technical sales, product/project management, and partnership/channel management are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Strong written and presentation skills.
- Able to work well under pressure and manage a busy schedule.
- Willing to travel/visit customers onsite.
