Designing reliable edge systems with NXP’s i.MX 9 application processors and Quectel SoMs
NXP’s i.MX 9 Application Processors power modern edge devices with high performance, low power, and robust security. The i.MX 9 family includes secure enclaves and energy-efficient cores, helping edge systems operate reliably in industrial, smart home, and infrastructure environments. Smart home hubs, energy meters, gateways, and industrial HMIs all benefit from the i.MX 9 architecture. Its scalable performance range supports responsive HMI graphics and deterministic communication for automation systems, while integrated secure architecture reduces the risk of attacks.
In this technical Masterclass webinar, speakers from NXP and Quectel will explain how to build dependable connected edge systems using the SRG091X and SRG093X system-on -modules (SoMs). The SRG series integrates i.MX 9 applications processors with the IW610g tri-radio subsystem and delivers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and IEEE 802.15.4 radios on a single platform. Both SoMs include LPDDR4 (X) memory and eMMC storage, with rich peripheral support. Interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, CAN-FD, SPI, UART, I2C, and ADC help engineers connect sensors and actuators without external bridges. The SRG093X adds a dual-core Cortex-A55 and a Cortex-M33 microcontroller, enabling real-time control and deterministic processing.
Join this Masterclass webinar to learn why i.MX 9 application processors are especially well-suited to edge system designs, and how our SRG09x SoMs reduce design risk and cost while offering extensive control and connectivity options. The webinar will cover configuration tips, interface trade-offs, and system optimization. These insights help engineers shorten design cycles and reduce integration errors. We'll also demonstrate real use cases for smart home, industrial automation, and connected infrastructure. Join our experts to understand why designers are increasingly turning to the i.MX 9 series for the next generation of smart, secure edge devices, and how to draw on their strengths through our SRG09x SoMs.
