Video: dead reckoning GNSS module demo (Vietnam)

Dead reckoning GNSS test drive

Dead reckoning is used to achieve consistent, accurate tracking in challenging environments where blockages to regular GNSS are common. When GNSS signals are impaired, the internal engine provides position estimates offset from the last known GNSS position until signal returns.

In this short video we demonstrate our LC29H GNSS module using dead reckoning for precise positioning in Hanoi, Vietnam, despite barriers including large buildings and overhead railway lines. By observing simultaneous tracking by modules with and without dead reckoning, you’ll see how vital this technology can be in maintaining consistent positioning in urban automotive applications.
