New Product Intro: FGM840R Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module

The FGM840R is one of our newest and most advanced MCU Wi-Fi and Bluetooth combo modules – Marketing Administrator Marko Lazic explains more in this short NPI video.

Our FGM840R module is a cutting-edge Wi-Fi 4 and Bluetooth combo module. It integrates a Cortex M33 and M23 dual-core processor with a main-core frequency of up to 200 MHz. The module supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n protocols and BLE 5.0. It operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands and includes 512 KB of RAM and 4 MB of flash memory.

Its ultra-compact LGA form factor (12.5 × 13.2 × 2.05 mm) helps optimise size and cost for end-products. It fits easily into a wide range of design environments.

The module complies with WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, and WPA3-SAE security standards. Hardware-based protections include a true random number generator (TRNG), AES-128, TrustZone, Secure Boot, and flash encryption.

It supports up to 20 GPIO interfaces. These can be configured for UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, PWM, SDIO, or USB functions. This flexibility makes it ideal for smart home and industrial IoT applications.

The FGM840R also supports QuecOpen® and standard AT commands. Its compact protocol stack enables efficient product development for customers.
