Overview
The FCH100XH-N915 is a long-range, low-power Wi-Fi HaLow module launched by Quectel. The module supports host mode and standalone mode and is compliant with the IEEE 802.11ah standard. Wi-Fi HaLow is the first Wi-Fi standard operating in the license-free sub-1GHz frequency band, offering long-range transmission, low power consumption, and enhanced penetration capabilities.
The FCH100XH-N915 is in an LCC form factor, with its ultra-compact package size of 20.0 mm × 14.0 mm × 2.4 mm, enabling easy integration into space-constrained end devices. This compact design helps reduce device size and comprehensive system costs.
The FCH100XH-N915 operates in the 902–928 MHz frequency band and supports 1/2/4 MHz channel bandwidths. The module boasts an ARM Cortex-M3 processor core with a frequency of 32 MHz and features built-in 1088 KB SRAM and 4 MB flash. It is designed based on the highly integrated Wi-Fi HaLow SoC, delivering a typical transmit power of +11 dBm and a physical layer peak data rate of up to 15 Mbps. Leveraging the excellent diffraction and penetration characteristics of the sub-1 GHz band, the module can achieve a communication distance of over 1 km in open fields.
The FCH100XH-N915 supports HSPI/SPI, I2C, PWM, UART, ADC, EINT, RTC, and TIMER peripheral interfaces. Designed with low power consumption and high-capacity connectivity in mind, it supports up to 8,191 device connections per access point (AP) in theory, making it well-suited for large-scale IoT deployments. It is ideal for a wide range of applications, including industrial IoT, smart agriculture, vehicle-to-everything, and smart city solutions.
