Overview
The KCU100XU is a UWB module featuring a 2T4R multi-antenna transceiver architecture. It complies with the IEEE 802.15.4/802.15.4z HRP standard and supports UWB channels CH5 and CH9. The module enables 3D Angle of Arrival (AoA), Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA), high-accuracy Two-Way Ranging (TWR), and UWB radar functionalities.
The KCU100XU module integrates four RF coaxial connectors (IPEX Gen 4), two of which can be multiplexed as TX/RX. It adopts a compact surface-mount LCC package with dimensions of 16.0 mm × 14.0 mm × 2.2 mm and provides peripheral interfaces such as UART, I2C, SPI, and GPIO. With flexible mechanical design compatibility, it is widely applicable to smart locks (hands-free access control), smart following, and UWB-radar-based presence detection as well as gesture/human sensing, meeting diverse application needs.
