Quectel takes legal action challenging wrongful section 1260H designation

Shanghai, 11 May 2026 – Quectel Wireless Solutions, today announced that it has filed legal action against the United States Department of Defense (DoD) in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia seeking judicial review and immediate relief from its wrongful designation under section 1260H of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021.

This action follows repeated efforts by Quectel to engage constructively with the DoD to correct significant factual and procedural errors underlying the designation and secure the company’s removal from the 1260H list.

Quectel categorically rejects the basis for its inclusion on the Section 1260H list, as it is now and always has been a leading designer and manufacturer of purely civilian technology.  Quectel has always operated with integrity, transparency and full compliance with the laws and regulations of every jurisdiction in which we do business.
